70-210...me versus fungus.

Today i succesfully opened a Nikon Series E 70-210 f4 ai-s lens.
It had fungus on the second lens element from the front, 1 screw only wich deceased during the operation. Unscrewed full front element and there is was, the fungus.
Lens came out 99% of 100% i guess.
Gonna have fun with this one on both de D90 but also the F100.
The ai(s) lenses i have make me wonder should'nt i be getting a d300s of d7000 (or d700).
No metering on the D90 works off course, but sometimes......

Another Gift...!

The same colleague that gave me the agfa last week came with a new surprise last thursday.
She gave me a LowePro Nova Mini camera bag and said look inside.
I found this:

''Canos EOS 500n + BP8 and 28-80 4-5.6 + 80-200 4-5.6''

Complete with the manual and 2 old films. One 2002 and one 2003 as end time. Both 100asa.
The BP-8 still was filled with penlites wich were leaking. So i cleaned out the grip and fitted it with 4 fresh penlites and turned the camera on and it responded as it should.
Filled it with one of the 2 rolls of film en will fill this and get it developed.
A picture of the camera will follow soon.

Well THANX again!!

Results Minolta Dynax 3xi

Filled the Minolta Dynax 3xi with Power Zoom 35-80 1:4-5.6. with a roll of Fuji Superia 400asa.
The Hema devoloped the film and i scanned the negatives with my Nikon Coolscan LS-40.
Edited the scans with Photoshop CS5.
It is a strange camera, works diferrent compared to my Nikon's, though i like the ''bokeh'' it creates. Guess i won't be using it on a daily basis but it was a fun camera to fool around with!

Been playing with the Vivitar 2x Teleconverter for 50mm lenses. Above shot was taken with my Mamiya Sekor 50mm 1:2 SX m42 mounted on the teleconverter. Using minimal lightning from a halogen lamp wich resides on my desk for light during the nighthours.
Editing is done using cameraraw 6.3 ps cs5 and silver efex.
