Kodak Color Gold 200, filled with my F601 and Pentacon 50mm m42.
Hope to begin scanning soon enough.
So, maybe find the time to add new stuff before, maybe not!
---
In the meantime the new lens has been fun, it is worth every penny off it.
Sure that pictures taken with it will be posted here.

Been playing with the Leica also, it is a very funny camera, love it.
A keeper defenitely.
---
I am thinking very long and hard what subjects i want to shoot with the on loan Mamiya 645.

New in the D90 family...
Last saturday i decided not to wait longer and go for it.
Wanted a new telezoom and knew wich one.
Sunday we went to belgium(well just) to look and maybe buy one.
It was in perfect shape.
---
So sunday night we went for a test spin at Beekbergerwoud.
Below one of the walk.
---
Well....it's big, it's hardly fits in my bags and people can't ignore it when i want to do streetphotography...but!
I am very very very happy with it because the images it takes are excellent. At my budget the best i could get.

My friend...
---
It has been a while since i posted here.
Holiday is over, went to germany, Cochem. maybe upload some pic's later on.
Visited a zoo, to bad light was really hard that day.
yesterday i went for a late shoot to ''Beekbergerwoud''
The above is a shot of my friend Remy. We had 20 minutes there and i made some nice shots!!
---
I have sold some stuff, 6 analogue camera's. I mostly shoot analogue with my F100 so the rest was just sitting in a box except for the F601 wich i did use wit a m42 lens attached. The buyer will pick it up in a couple of weeks.
What do i want. Well i am in search for a Nikon 80-200 1:2.8 D Push Pull version, the second af incarnation. I cannot effort the 2 ring versions nor the 70-200 vr versions. So it is the best deal and should blow my 70-210 1:4-5.6 away.
On loan i have a nice Mamiya 645 with 80mm 2.8. Comes with ae prism finder and waistlevel finder. Hell what a machine. In Cochem i was given Ilford xp2 400 asa 120 roll film(4 pieces), so firts shots are made. The film is 12-2004, so very expired! But for learning an test quite alright. I know what the machine can do because i met and follow the owner on Flickr and he now has a blog.
be nice and visit him and view his terrific work:
---
Well will post some work also soon, have loads to show so have to make a small selection.

Some Leica Digilux 1 shots....
Some shots taken with my Leica Digilux 1.
Some are not processed, some have seen Photoshop.
---
---
processed with color efex 4
out of camera jpeg with saturation set to low in picture control
black and whitepoint set in Photoshop
conversion in Photoshop and levels to make it less grey
---
Well, what can i say. This camera is quite nice, off course 3.8 mp and a old ccd is obvious inferior to the D90 or EP-1, but.....
it looks ow so nice, even a bit analogue in the colors on some shots. Therefore a keeper for me.

Batavia shipyard and more......
Mai the 17th is a holiday in Holland. me and my daughter decided to go to the Batavia shipyard near Almere.
It was worth it, a half sunny day, not to crowded and great stuff to see and...DO!
Beneath is a picture of a volunteer at work making steel nails. Children could make nails with him. After looking 2 times my daughter decided she wanted to do that to. I post processed the beneath picture to give it an old look, i like the result!
---------
Been very busy post processing and scanning negatives and positives. Maybe i'll update my blog with some results from Sensia 100. I filled a roll using my F100 and my very much loved Kiron 105mm wich is a dream combination.
One shot to prove it.
---------
Also went to Pinkpop on 26th of may to see The Cure.
Managed to get my Olympus E-P1 and 14-42mm through the gates.
Took some shots, missing more zoom but proud of this shot!!
---------
Well this is a update from more events that took place in my photography.
I have loads of plans for summer, mostly analogue plans!
cheers and grts,
Peter
p.s.: need more positive film....anyone have some left?

Post processing learning curve
It's hard....all those options the software gives you.
But i do wanna learn how to do good post processing, how little it can be.
beneath 2 shots taken on evening walk with the Olympus Pen e-p1.
Sometimes it's great playing with PS and filters. But sometimes i yearn to get the good shot straight out of the camera and my efforts go there.
Anyways, the Pen is still a nifty cam for easy use.

...More after the rain shots
I love abstract, i love my Kiron 105mm and b&w/toning post processing.
Feedback differs on these 2.

Film used is Kodak Portra 160NC(expired 11-2011) and scanned with my Coolscan LS-40.
Post processing consists of sliding with levels and some USM.

Some chit chat...
Hi there.
Always wondering how many people really read this(1 comment thusfar since the start) i am gonna chit chat about last weeks.
Since i decided to start shooting my collection of 35mm film i am getting addicted to analogue again.
My test roll with the Sigma 15-30 was really a surprise, positively speaking. One picture that came out a did some post processing using silver efex2.
And also i like this one wich had been desaturated and a bit usm in PS.
Last week 2 flickr contacts Jorke and Willem and me went for a photo walk in Apeldoorn but we decided to change plans and go to the VSM in Beekbergen, nice old steamloc's and almost urbex wagon's. Pictures will follow.
We had a great day and it was easy getting to know eachother while doing our favourite thing!
Amazing nice gear off course.
There was a Mamiya 645 with 80mm a Nikon F5 with 15mm a Canon ae-1 with 1.4 50mm and my modest F100.
Thanks for a great day guys!!
Thanks for a great day guys!!
As i am making this blog entry my scanner is busy, first the Kodak tmx b&w 100 asa wich is over date, i think the seller said 2006, but not 100%. Over date was a fact according to my 2 friends who said it looks old, the casing that is.
After that a roll of Porta 400NC will follow, also over date.
Today i decided to mount my Kiron 105mm on the F100 and make soms macro/close up from the tulips that are growing in my garden. Filled the F100 with Porta 160 NC wich is 2007 over date i guess.
Well, enough for now.

Fungus....
Few weeks ago i was moving some photography gear. I opened one of the cases, the one that holds some lenses.
To my horror i noticed fungus growth in some...also my Vivitar 70-150 f3.8.....
No fun. Also my m42 Mamiya sekor 200mm f3.5 was a victim.
Today i received a package for a good deal i made. A new 70-150mm f3.8 Vivitar, Kiron made!
This time the 2 touch version. A short in house test revealed the ''Kiron feel and look''
Me happy again!
Peter.

Since last year i have been searching for 35mm film on mostly marktplaats, a dutch second hand site for consumers.
What you can see in these pictures is the film i bought from different sources.
Some is new, some is from the year 2000 and years in between.
In my camera bag that i use with my Nikon F100 there are 5 more films.
More might be on the way!
Tonight i filled up my Nikon F601 with a roll of Fuji Superia 200. Expired 12-2005.
Fitted my Tokina 17mm 1:3.5 with the idea of going for a walk tomorrow.
It might be i change lens into my 28mm 1:2.8 or my 50 1.8d. Not sure yet.
Also my Ricoh XR-6 is filled with film, Kodak 200asa gold, expired 11-2006.
What i am planning is to shoot a lot of film this spring and summer, i didnt buy to start a museum ;)
But....i also notices a piece of rubber decomposing in the film compartment so the kodak film is more testing than serious shooting for this moment.
I am not selling it anymore.
Well enough for now!

Love for b&w...
I love Black and White photography, well...
Full black and white or with a nice toning or some selective colors.
Beneath is shot at Burger's Bush.
I also made black and white presets in my Nikon D90.
Not monochrome but edited the preset 'standard' with black and white toning and color filters.
the idea is to make the picture in the camera with less post processing.
Well, sometimes that's enough indeed but post processing a bit more makes the pictures al lot better in my opinion, mostly...haha
The next picture is taken with my new Sigma 15-30. First time out on the streets. I like the lens. I shot the picture with the b&w toning and red filter. Yes it needed more post processing, playing with the slides in CaptureNX.

Macro thoughts...
I still very in love with the Kiron 105mm 1:2.8 macro.
Or am i in love with macro and is the Kiron a very good instrument?
Almost got a good Kiron 105, but seller had a small accident with it the day i was gonna visit him, he dropped it.....so sad....
So i am thinking, what to do and have been reading lots, again.
If i cannot get a good Kiron i will go for the Tokina 100mm. Why?
Well the Nikon 105 vr, well it's very expensive atm.
I have a Tokina 11-16 and really love the build quality and image quality, so Tokina can replace Nikkor/Nikon for me.
So.....i have the time, hopefully one of the 2 will be available, second hand no problem for me.
About the above photo's.
Number 1: Little work on the levels, but very little.
Number 2: No post processing, SOOC.

I an happy with that Sigma so far, need to take it outside soon!

So far for today!

Kiron 105mm 1:2.8 F-Mount
Bought a small box with Nikon slr camera's and 2 lenses.
The camera's(Nikon f401, f601 and f801s) are for sale again with one lens. I bought this box for one reason. The box included a Kiron 105mm 1:2.8, wich was, according the seller, in good condition...
Well it makes photo's....but...
The focusring is not in good shape feels like i'm only moving air most of the time, but it goes eventually. It doesn't seem to move completely tot 1:1 and infinity is totally lost... Sometimes the diapraghm hangs, but a small but gentle slap with a finger makes it go in the right postion...
But.......... i LOVE it....
Why?
See Below:
Taken with the Kiron 105mm 1:2.8 F-Mount.
Iso 400 - f4 - handheld @ 1/320 and 1/250
I knew the rep of this lens and despite it's flaws, the images it produces are perfect for what i want.
Shall i get it repaired, it will set me back 150 to 200 euro's, or shall i just go and save money for the Nikon 105 1:2.8 micro VR?
cheers, Peter.

Abstract realisations
With the gray weather i started experimenting inside the house.
I used the E-P1 mostly for this.
The 2 above pictures are with the E-P1.
The first is a out of focus with a dim lighted object in the house.
The second is light painting with slow shutterspeeds towards a light source, in this case the television.
Fun to do, hope the results are nice for others to.
Exif and more can be fount on my flickr in the Abstract set.
